The Brief
Kevin, a landscape photographer who has held shows throughout the northeast, wanted to be able to easily add high res images, new galleries and blog posts all from one place - options that were denied to him by his previous host and CMS. Moreover, he desired a modern design as opposed to the cookie cutter, default Wordpress theme he had been saddled with by his previous host.
The Approach
With's Kevin help, we settled on a minimalist approach that accentuates his work and talent. All gallery images are presented first as thumbnails and then as high resolution images thanks to jQuery's handy Fancybox widget. As Kevin is a traveling photographer with numerous upcoming shows, it was important he be able to update his site on the fly. As such, his new site is connected to Surreal's headless CMS, which affords him the ability to update and edit his photos and upcoming shows.
