The Brief
Will Nomikos is Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of California in Santa Barbara. He contacted me to revamp his old site, which had been built on the Weebly platform some years before. His old site was not optimized for the web - it deployed massive PNG images which slowed load times and detracted from the user experience considerably. Will was looking for a dynamic new site that could present his research and publications in an organized and accessible manner.
The Approach
I bounced some theme ideas off Will and we eventually settled on a dynamic, AOS-centric design that presents his work and research in a clear, comprehensive and accessible manner. A custom research page grid with filter buttons allows users to easily sort through Will's considerable portfolio and find what they are looking for.
The final result is a fast, sleek and professional website that presents Will's accomplishments clearly and effectually. Said Will, "I cannot recommend Charlie more highly except to say that I've already contracted him to help redesign another website of mine."
